Uniform Services Division

UNIFORMED SERVICES DIVISION
The Uniform Services Division is often the first point of contact citizens may have with the McCordsville Police Department.

Our uniformed division is comprised of two factions that are intertwined. The first faction is paid professional police officers. The second faction is reserve police officers. Paid police officers comprise a majority of the McCordsville Police Department's staff. The paid police officers strive to maintain a high level of morale, pride, and dedication while fulfilling the mission of making McCordsville a safer community where all people can live without fear. Reserve police officers strive to maintain a high level of morale, pride, and dedication as paid officers; however, reserve officers receive no monetary compensation.

The Uniform Services Division provides, but are not limited to, the following functions: proactive patrols, reactive police response to calls for service, criminal apprehension, vehicle crash investigations, traffic enforcement, and community partnerships.
